MPU Film Screening: Undivide Us

First Presbyterian Church of New Vernon

America is at a crossroads where politicians, traditional media, and social media fan the flames of toxic partisanship that have led many Americans to question whether they can trust their fellow citizens. Through the intimate lens of six focus groups across three American cities, "Undivide Us" explores the twisted landscape of toxic polarization.

Prior to the screening we will hold a brief conversation to aid in how think about the ways media and news often divide us into groups; We will focus on thinking about how listening to someone with different views in person and engaging in conversation can have a lasting and positive impact on our relationships, communities, and our nation.

About the Morristown Chapter

Across cities and towns just like yours nationwide, we serve our communities by starting with bringing different neighbors together for events centered around Social Connection, Service, and Civics.

By rolling up our sleeves side-by-side, we can begin to see that we have more in common than what divides us; that first and foremost we are fellow Americans with a common love for our families and communities.

These Chapters – also known as our Brickyards – are mobile places for neighbors to connect and solve local problems. We do this through respectful and open conversations, and to find higher ground as we work together brick-by-brick.

The Morristown, NJ Brickyard is led by Sam LaNasa and supported by Alex Ireland and Ryan Enriquez.
