Brady Harman
Program Manager

Brady Harman is a Program Manager at +MPU, where he supports Brickyard chapters around the nation. He brings over a decade of experience in democracy and governance programming, having worked across Southeast Asia to support inclusive political institutions, civic movements, and government reform in some of the world’s most challenging environments.
Before joining +MPU, Brady served as Program Director at the National Democratic Institute, overseeing complex, large-scale programs in Burma, Cambodia, and Thailand. He has led initiatives focused on civic leadership, movement building, political party development, and open governance—working closely with local civil society, political leaders, and international partners.
Brady has also advised local organizations and managed rule of law programs in Burma, and contributed to peace processes and constitutional reform efforts in conflict-affected areas. These experiences deepened his belief that democracy is always a work in progress—and that safeguarding it requires informed, engaged citizens and resilient civic infrastructure. He has witnessed firsthand the consequences of authoritarianism: suppression of independent thought, corruption, and conflict. Brady is passionate about bringing home the lessons he has learned abroad, believing that civic engagement is both a right and a responsibility—and essential to a healthy democracy.
Brady holds a JD, cum laude, from the Maurer School of Law and an MPA in International Development from the O’Neill School for Environmental and Public Affairs at Indiana University. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Center for Constitutional Democracy and lives in the Midwest with his husband and their dog.
