Zakiyya White

Zakiyya White is a community builder, event strategist, and civic connector who uses experiences as a tool for engagement, economic mobility, and collective impact. Zakiyya serves as the Events Manager at the Center for Black Innovation, where she curates programs and partnerships that uplift Black founders and foster innovation in historically underrepresented communities. She is also the curator of Tech Tuesdays Miami, Chapter President of the Black Professionals Network – Miami, and founder of Bold Fridays, a monthly cowork-and-connect experience for founders, creatives, and culture shifters. Before launching her own events consultancy, ZW Eventz, Zakiyya worked in education and nonprofit leadership, teaching elementary level students, designing youth programs, professional development workshops, and civic engagement activations across Miami-Dade. Her approach to event design is rooted in the belief that intentional, people-centered spaces can shift narratives, build ecosystems, and move communities forward. Zakiyya holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational communition and is deeply passionate about innovation at the intersection of community, culture, and commerce. Her work spans across sectors, having produced experiences for mission-driven clients such as Black Ambition Prize, Fort Lauderdale Concours, Black Women Invest, and The Source. She finds joy in building community, from classroom to conference stage, and lives by the belief that community and connection is the first step toward collective change. When she’s not producing events, Zakiyya enjoys cycling, walks to the beach, hosting vision sessions with fellow entrepreneurs, and finding new ways to bring people together with purpose.
