Archie Dean Nettles Jr. is a Beaumont, TX native that joined the United States Army after high school and served in Active Duty and Reserves. While in the Army, he obtained the rank of Sergeant and served in the Operation Enduring Freedom Military Campaign stationed in Afghanistan. After his career in the Army, he transitioned to civilian life and moved to Dallas, TX where he completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Dallas. He has a commitment to community service in the DFW area and currently serves as a commissioner on the city of Dallas’ Community Development Commission. Additionally, Archie is a 2019 Alumnus of the George W. Bush Stand-To Veteran Leadership Program and an Alumnus of the Dallas Regional Chamber 46th Leadership Dallas Class of 2021. He currently works as a Development Officer, focusing on community engagement at the George W. Bush Presidential Center.
