Gravelly Point

RSVP

Over the weekend of the anniversary of 9/11, +MPU has partnered with GORUCK to participate in its Friday (9/12) and Saturday “rucking” events (9/13). Rucking is the action of walking with weight on your back. On 9/12, beginning at 7:00 pm and lasting 2-3 hours, MPU members can sign up to participate in GORUCK’s Light Challenge. This event is family friendly - members will stay with fellow ruckers from start to finish while rucking a few miles and getting to know others along the way. The cost for this event is $20, but those registering through +MPU will receive a discount.

MPU members will register through MPU and then will be directed separately to sign up for the GORUCK event(s) through the GORUCK website. Email to members to include more specific details for what members can expect to experience in each event (scavenger hunt, etc.) - will confirm these details with cadre assigned for event.

About the DMV, Washington Chapter

Washington, D.C. has always been a place of compromise. Born as the beating heart of American democracy, D.C. has long been a symbol of what we can achieve when we come together, and what can go wrong when division takes the place of connectedness in our communities.

The D.C. Brickyard is led by Ben Bain, Jaelin Lespier, and Ryan Smither.
