+MPU Chicago Brickyard Juneteenth Tea Party

2451 S Oakley Ave, Chicago, IL 60608

We’re hosting a tea party to commemorate the 2nd year of Juneteenth as a federal holiday. We will sip tea, learn how to properly steep loose leaf tea, learn more about Juneteenth, and expand our community as we discuss what the true meaning of freedom means to us.

Can you join us?

To add to the celebration, the venue, tea company, and food will all come from Black-owned businesses to make sure we’re supporting locally-owned businesses in the community.

+MPU is a national movement to strengthen our communities and heal our country by creating meaningful connections through service and leadership. We form local chapters, called Brickyards, that bring people together through events focused on service, civics, and leadership.

About the Chicago Chapter

Chicago is America’s crossroads, forged in fire from Midwestern steel. From innovation to social movement, Chicago’s been a beacon throughout American history, and stands as much as a testament to overcoming adversity as it does to what we can achieve together. The Chicago Brickyard is led by Sidney Covington and supported by Dan Biga.
