+MPU Washington D.C. Brickyard: Coffee Meetup

Compass Coffee, Rosslyn

Americans live in their bubbles and it fuels political and cultural divisions. Neighbors no longer talk to one another, and people from different walks of life interact less and less. The meaningful connections that once created a sense of community and a united America are increasingly rare.

+ More Perfect Union (+MPU) is creating a national movement to strengthen our communities and heal our country by creating meaningful connections through service and leadership. We form local chapters, called Brickyards, that bring people together through service, civics, and leadership.

+MPU Washington, D.C. Brickyard is hosting monthly coffee meetups to bring folks together from different backgrounds and talk about opportunities to help our neighbors in the DMV.

The February 7 coffee will be at Compass Coffee in Rosslyn, VA. Ben Bain, +MPU Washington DC Brickyard Co-Founder, will lead conversations about Servant Leadership, what it means, and how we can practice it in our community.

The coffee meetup will last about one hour and members can discuss ways to participate in the +MPU Washington, D.C. Brickyard activities.

About the Washington Chapter

Washington, D.C. has always been a place of compromise. Born as the beating heart of American democracy, D.C. has long been a symbol of what we can achieve when we come together, and what can go wrong when division takes the place of connectedness in our communities.

The D.C. Brickyard is led by Ben Bain, Jaelin Lespier, and Ryan Smither.
