+MPU Washington, D.C. Service Day – Rock Creek Park

Rock Creek Park

Serving our community and serving others is engrained in +MPU’s DNA. As one of our core pillars, Service provides our neighbors a way to actively volunteer to improve our community.

We’re an organization that brings together like-minded citizens to put the future of a more unified America back in our own hands. And in March, we’re walking the walk and serving our community through a service project.

We are volunteering with Rock Creek Conservancy to help protect the park –and we can’t do it without you.

Join us at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the Carter Barron Amphitheater in Rock Creek Park.

We will spend the first half hour getting to know each other, and introduce +MPU. Then we’ll get to work cleaning up the watershed by picking up trash and removing invasive plants to help protect the National Park. +MPU will provide lunch and end the service project with a discussion about what Servant Leadership means to you. We’ll be sure to end promptly at 1 pm.

Servant leadership “begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve, to serve first.” We hope you can join us in this service project to clean and protect Rock Creek Park.

About the Washington Chapter

Washington, D.C. has always been a place of compromise. Born as the beating heart of American democracy, D.C. has long been a symbol of what we can achieve when we come together, and what can go wrong when division takes the place of connectedness in our communities.

The D.C. Brickyard is led by Ben Bain, Jaelin Lespier, and Ryan Smither.
