Steve Woll is a 2023 MPU Fellow from Norfolk, Virginia, and is the Brickyard Captain of the +MPU Hampton Roads Brickyard chapter.

Steve, originally from Pittsburgh, PA, pursued his education at Duke University, earning a BS in Zoology and Computer Science. He embarked on his professional journey as a computer programmer, working with environmental consulting firms in the Washington DC area. Later, Steve joined the Navy, initially serving as a Surface Warfare Officer. He transitioned to become a Meteorology and Oceanography Officer, obtaining an MS in Meteorology and Oceanography from the Naval Postgraduate School and an MBA from the College of William and Mary. Steve’s naval career spanned 21 years, including command roles. Following his retirement, he ventured into the meteorology private sector, specializing in business development and project management. He also served as President of Synoptic Data PBC, a Public Benefit Corporation that offers environmental data aggregation services. Steve subsequently established Little Creek Applied Science LLC, where he currently serves as the principal. As a Norfolk, VA resident of 20 years, he presides over a household shared by three dogs.
