+MPU Front Range: Service at The Black American West Museum

Black American West Museum & Heritage Center

More Perfect Union (+MPU) is creating a national movement to strengthen our communities and heal our country by making meaningful connections. We form local chapters called Brickyards that bring people together through service, civics, and leadership.

On July 22nd, join MPU’s Front Range/Denver Chapter at the Black American West Museum & Heritage Center for a morning that will leave you feeling good about giving back to your local community.

Help the Black American West Museum & Heritage Center with some yardwork and area beautification. This will help provide our community with a beautiful space dedicated to telling the story of the contributions African Americans made in building the American West.

Black Americans played a significant role in the development of the American West, despite facing discrimination and racism. They worked as cowboys, ranchers, and homesteaders, and helped to build the West into the prosperous region it is today. This event will help a local organization whose purpose is to tell the story of African American men and women who helped to settle and develop the American West.

Performing yardwork and area beautification around the Black American West Museum & Heritage Center will increase museum attendance and ease access for patrons. This will help the museum achieve its mission to promote an understanding of the role that African Americans played in the settlement and growth of the western United States.

The service project starts at 9:30 a.m. After the work is done, join +MPU for some well-earned refreshments and conversation.

Please RSVP to this event by July 14th. We hope to see you there!
